The Martin and Audrey Wood Enterprise awards, supported by Science Oxford, aim to recognise excellence in business and innovation for businesses in Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley. In an event on 29th October, awards were made in several categories; Best Information Technology, Best Green Technology, Best Precision Engineering and Instrumentation and Best Medical Devices and Healthcare Technologies. Companies selected for the final stage presentation included a broad range of both emerging and profitable companies. Oxitec was the winner of the Best Green Technology award and runner-up in Best Medical Devices and Healthcare Technologies, and was the overall winner across all categories.
