Oxitec has been awarded a grant by the Technology Strategy Board’s ‘Feasibility Studies for Technology-Inspired Innovation’ competition. Together with a manufacturing company, Oxitec will develop prototype equipment for use in mass-production of sterile mosquitoes. As our technology for the control of the mosquitoes that spread dengue fever moves closer to market, we are developing the methods for large scale production of consistent, high quality insects.
