Oxitec has developed innovative products to target some of the world’s most damaging agricultural pests.

A pink bollworm strain containing a heritable fluorescent marker has been tested by the USDA for three years in open field and mass-rearing trials. RIDL strains of pink bollworm, Mediterranean fruit fly, Mexican fruit fly and olive fly are also in different stages of evaluation. Oxitec’s technology could easily be transferred into other Dipteran and Lepidopteran species.
