The objective is to evaluate the potential of Oxitec's RIDL-SIT technology in suppressing the population of the Aedes aegypti mosquito which carries dengue fever and chikungunya. The technology evaluation is being done by the WHO Collaborating Centre for Vectors based at the Institute for Medical Research, Jalan Pahang, Kuala Lumpur 50588.
