Anastrepha ludens (Mexican fruit fly) OX3713Q
Product profile

OX3713Q is a female specific RIDL strain. The strain provides 100% female lethality in the absence of a dietary supplement, offering a male-only release in the final release generation. The 100% female lethality is achieved even at a single copy of the transgene in this strain, allowing for population suppression without the need for irradiation. When released, males will mate with wild females and all female progeny will die. OX3713Q contains the heritable fluorescent marker DsRed which allows for easy and clear identification at all developmental stages in respect to wild-type insects.
OX3713Q is homozygous. It is available for evaluation by third parties.
