Pectinophora gossypiella (pink bollworm) OX3402

Product profile

cottonOX3402 contains bisex RIDL technology and the fluorescent marker, DsRed. In addition to the advantages offered by OX1138 for monitoring, this strain offers a replacement to irradiation for sterilization of the moths.

Status

An early RIDL pink bollworm prototype was tested in cage trials by USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine, Center for Plant Health Science and Technology (CPHST). This work was put on hold to focus on development of OX1138. A new improved homozygous prototype, OX3402, is now available for testing.
