Senior Business Development Director (Agriculture)
Reporting to: CSO, Head of Corporate and Business Development

This role is an important part of Oxitec’s leadership team and will serve as our primary business development lead for Oxitec’s agricultural technology platform. The successful candidate will identify, plan, develop, and secure new commercial deals, strategic partnerships, and collaborations that will help expand and solidify Oxitec’s access to global agricultural pest markets for its current and future technology pipeline.

Global Communications Director

We are seeking an experienced, highly-motivated and well-rounded senior communications expert to lead our external communications and marketing activity as part of Oxitec’s senior leadership team. As we are a smaller company, this position involves managing, coordinating, developing and delivering on all aspects of corporate communications and marketing efforts to strengthen and advance Oxitec’s business development goals, public engagement initiatives, media relations, and Oxitec’s global brand at both strategic and tactical levels.

Research Scientist X 2
Reporting to: Senior Scientist
Salary range: TBC
Location: Milton Park, Oxfordshire, UK

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable research scientist to join a dynamic project team dedicated to the research and development of our self-limiting technology in insect species that transmit disease.  We are excited to be working on a project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation focused on combating malaria-spreading mosquitoes.

The successful candidate will have a self-starting attitude, show strong organisational skills, and demonstrate original thinking and attention to detail.  Experience working in a biological sciences laboratory, and insect rearing experience are desirable to help provide scientific research support within our R&D team, to meet our project objectives and company goals. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while maintaining a strong team ethos, demonstrate good laboratory practices, and can follow SOPs.  Good communication skills and an enthusiasm for Oxitec’s mission are essential.

We are seeking a highly motivated and capable senior technician to join a dynamic project team dedicated to the research and development of our self-limiting technology in insect species that transmit disease.  We are excited to be working on a project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation focused on combating malaria-spreading mosquitoes.  This position involves the technical support of our insect teams from ranges from maintaining our insect colonies and/or laboratory equipment to running experiments, as well helping to maintain a safe and functional working environment.

The successful candidate will have a self-starting attitude, show strong organisational skills, and demonstrate original thinking and attention to detail.  Experience working in a biological sciences laboratory, and insect rearing experience are desirable to help provide technical support within our R&D team, to meet our project objectives and company goals. Team-orientation and flexibility in duties are essential.  The successful candidate will be able to work independently while maintaining a strong team ethos, demonstrate good laboratory practices, and can follow SOPs.  Good communication skills and an enthusiasm for Oxitec’s mission are essential.
