Oxitec’s EPA Approval Published in the Federal Register, Permit Allows Friendly™ Mosquito Pilot Projects in U.S.

June 10th, 2020 Announcement.  Oxitec is proud to share that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Experimental Use Permit (EUP) to pilot our Friendly™ Aedes aegypti mosquito technology in the U.S. has published in the Federal Register.  The EUP and related documents are available in the docket, links to all available below:

Next steps include formal state and local authority approval. Once all approvals are in place and local partners are ready to begin the program, Oxitec will work with them to conduct community engagement activities ahead of stepwise demonstrations of our solution to this growing problem – invasive mosquitoes that carry and pass on diseases to people.
