Flavia Furquim has over 20 years of experience in agribusiness research and development, working in Brazilian and international biotechnology companies. She is a biologist, graduating out of State University of Campinas, and has specialization in plant tissue culture, business management & strategy, and quality management. Engaged with the Oxitec´s mission, Flavia joined us in August 2021, taking responsibility for Field Operations in Brazil with the aim of advancing our public health and agriculture programs. Working with an amazing and passionate team, Flavia relishes the challenge of developing ground-breaking technologies designed to sustainably and safely control insects that transmit diseases and destroy crops.
